Flamengo to meet with Hierro

The Flamengo hot seat is still open after the exit of Jorge Jesus. Everything seems to indicate that it will be a Spaniard who takes the reigns this season, but there's still nothing confirmed.

At first it seemed that Domènec Torrent, former assistant of Guardiola, and Juan Carlos Carcedo, who was with Emery, were the two who would fight it out for the role.

But 'Marca' informed on Sunday that Fernando Hierro remains in the fight. According to sources close to the ex-Real Madrid player, it's not all completed yet.

Flamengo still have a meeting pending with him to consider the possibility of him joining this season. Meanwhile, Flamengo are finishing their preparation. The start of the season is scheduled for 9th August.
