The fall out continues from what happened in the Euro 2020 final between Italy and England. Italy managed to win the title after a dramatic penalty shootout.
During the penalty shootout, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka were the ones who missed out their penalties for the Three Lions which, in the end, saw Gareth Southgate's side lose.
After that, different media outlets, as well as the footballers themselves, highlighted the racist abuse and threats they had suffered on social media. This got into the hands of the English police and now there have been arrests.
In fact, Mark Roberts, the National Police Chiefs’ Council football policing lead, said that five people have been arrested because of these incidents. He also said that if they are found guilty, they will face "serious consequences for their disgraceful actions."
