Liverpool annouced earlier this week that four players would be leaving the club at the end of this season when their contracts run out: Robert Firmino, Naby Keita, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
As the club look to their own new signings for next season, these four are left to consider their own futures.
Firmino played for the Reds for eight seasons, scoring over 100 goals and providing 72 assists. Now the 31-year-old looks to his next chapter.
'Mundo Deportivo' reports that Barcelona look to be the most likey to sign the Brazilian forward, and the 'Daily Mail' even reported there was a verbal agreement between the parties.
However, it's worth remembering that Barcelona's priorities clearly lie in signing a new midfielder to replace the departing legend Sergio Busquets, and adding a veteran forward to their squad, which already holds experienced strikers like La Liga top scorer Robert Lewandowski, might not seem worth it to the Spanish giants. The Brazilian's future is far from certain.
