Final exam for Umtiti

One of the injuries that plague the 'Blaugrana' side the most, Umtiti's spell on the sidelines means that Barcelona miss their star centre-back. Club doctors are still working so that he can come back sooner.

Barcelona hope the Frenchman will start running from next week following his injury, which will allow them to see when the player can make his return to the first-team. 

His work in the gym was very satisfactory. Almost without pain, Umtiti has been able to complete a week with a good weight, although it is true that he has not focused too much on his painful left knee.

With Umtiti already ruled out of 'El Clásico', Barca do not want to force him straight back into the team. Due to the regularity of defensive injuries in the side, the manager does not want Umtiti to return until he has reached 100% fitness. 

The feeling when Umtiti begins to jog will be key in seeing whether or not he will have to be operated on in the coming weeks.
