VAR has dominated headlines in recent months, especially since the return of football after the hiatus in Europe. Controversies are raging every day and there is a lack of criteria in the different leagues.
That's what Colline told Reuters, because FIFA wants VAR to be interpreted and used in the same way all over the world.
"Our responsibility is to ensure that football is played in the same way all over the world. To say that VAR should be used in the same way all over the world is obvious," he said.
Pierluigi Collina, chairman of the FIFA Referees Committee, did say that "small differences" would be admitted, but only if there was a "general implementation".
"FIFA should be involved in the education of referees worldwide, supporting all member associations," the former referee concluded.
