FIFA have paid hommage to Sinisa Mihajlovic, who died this Friday because of leukemia at the mere age of 53. Because of his death, there was a minute's silence in the Legends Cup which is in Doha.

This Friday, FIFA paid hommage to Serbian ex-player and manager Sinisa Mihajlovic, who died in a hospital in Rome agd 53 because of leukemia which he had had since 2019.

Because of his death, there was a minute's silence at the start of the second and final day of the Legends Cup which is taking place in Doha.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino showed a shirt with his name and the number 11 which Mihajlovic wore throughout his successful career as a player, and he also gave condolences to his family and friends.

What is more, there was a touching minute's silence at the Doha Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex, where there has been a legends tournaments since this Thursday, with a photo of Mihajlovic on the score-boards.
