Ozil, who has not played under Arteta since last March, will leave Arsenal in the January transfer window. Fenerbahce are preparing to welcome him. In fact, the Turkish club take his arrival for granted.
'AS' reports that Fenerbahce believe Ozil's arrival at the club is simply a matter of time. He will come in a few days when he has sealed his departure from Arsenal.
The player's agent said the following a few days back. "You must not forget that he must first negotiate with Arsenal before Ozil can leave in this window. His contract runs until the end of the season," Erkut Sogut said.
"If he doesn't speak to them, he can only sign a pre-contract for next season. We have to do it in the right way, we are going to talk to his family to finish off the process as soon as possible," his agent added.
Fenerbahce, when asked by 'AS', said it is "a matter of time". Ozil would earn 5 million euros, much less than the 12 million a year he currently gets at Arsenal.
It seems like everything will work out once he manages to end his Arsenal contract. That is only thing lift to do for Ozil before he can go to Istanbul.
