Lokomotiv Moscow's Peruvian player Jefferson Farfan has contracted COVID-19, according to the Russian club on Saturday.
"Yes, Farfán has tested positive for the coronavirus", the Lokomotiv Moscow president Anatoli Mescheriakov told the local sports press.
He added that the forward, who has played for the Moscow side since 2017 and has won the Russian league with the side, "hasn't infected anyone".
"When training resumes, we will act on the recommendations of the competent bodies," he said.
Lokomotive are currently 2nd in the Russian league, behind Zenit Saint Petersburg who are top by 9 points.
