Manchester City face another Premier League game, this time against Leicester, as the final days of the transfer window approach. There are still several questions to be answered ... most notably in the centre of the defence.
Rúben Dias, who might have played his last match for Benfica, appears to be the latest new signing for the Citizens this window. It is an arrival that prompts an exit, and it seems like it will be Nicólas Otamendi on the way out.
In fact, as Journalist César Luis Merlo from 'TyC Sports' has said, the Argentine defender has already closed a deal to play for the Lisbon side.
He would sign for the next three years (already aged 32) and would keep the salary that he was enjoying at Manchester City. Moreover, he would be part of any deal that sees Rúben Dias arrive at the Etihad.
If this were to happen, Otamendi would be seen in Portugal as 'committing treason'. He played for Porto, who also tried to re-sign him, where he spent four seasons after leaving Vélez Sarsfield and before signing for Valencia. It would certainly be a talking point in Portugal...
