As England emerges from national lockdown and moves into its new tier system, fans are preparing to return to elite sport, including Premier League football.

Premier League and EFL fans are getting ready to return after England emerged from its national lockdown on Wednesday.

Not all clubs will be allowed to let spectators in, with many clubs located in areas that remain in Tier 3, meaning that games must all be played behind closed doors.

Find out the details of which clubs will see fans return here.

EFL sides will be the first clubs to reopen their doors tonight with Luton Town, Wycombe, Stoke, and Charlton all among the teams that will see 1000 fans inside their grounds.

The first Premier League team to take advantage of the new rules will be Arsenal when they host Rapid Wien in the Europa League on Thursday night.

The Gunners sold out their 2000 tickets inside 20 minutes, all to season-ticket holders. Mikel Arteta said, “It is going to be extraordinary to have them back."

Meanwhile, West Ham vs Manchester United will be the first Premier League game to host spectators on Saturday afternoon.

Chelsea have faced criticism for elevated ticket prices that fans are facing.
