Striker Radamel Falcao, who missed the match against Cadiz through injury, will not play against Sevilla either, his coach Andoni Iraola said this Friday.
The Colombian international has had a hamstring injury since 18th October, the date of the match against Atletico Madrid in which he scored the equaliser. Iraola said that "he would not make this match."
Falcao's absence is a notable one for Rayo because he is the latest after that of Frenchman Randy Nteka and it leaves Sergio Camello as Rayo's only striker for the encounter with Sevilla.
Another footballer who will miss the trip to the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan is attacking midfielder Jose Pozo. "He has a blow to the finger which is very annoying. He's been trying to bear the pain for days and he has decided to stop," the Rayo boss concluded.
