Everything in order: Vinicius tests negative
Zinedine Zidane's Real Madrid trained for the last time on Thursday before facing Alavés at the Alfredo di Stéfano with Marcelo and Vinicius Junior missing.
There was an error with the Brazilian's COVID-19 test on Wednesday and that's why he couldn't train on Thursday, as the protocol marks that you can only play or train with the confirmation of positives.
In the second test that the player underwent, which took place on Thursday morning, 'Marca' informs that Vinicius tested negative, so the alarms go off and Zidane will have him available on Friday. However, he will come into the game with one training session less.
Los Blancos received the results on Thursday afternoon after the French manager himself explained in the press conference the reason for Vinicius's absence.
"The COVID-19 test went wrong and we're going to repeat it this afternoon. It was not positive, but it went wrong and that's why we have to repeat it. These things can happen. I hope he will be with us on Friday without any problem", Zidane said.
With the negative, the Brazilian attacker will be on the squad list that Madrid will release in the next few hours, finding himself in a great moment after the return of La Liga. The Brazilian is one of the best pupils of a Zidane who is still very much on top of him and who is managing to improve his football by leaps and bounds.
