"I would be glad if he could play. It's clear that Barcelona are better with him because everybody knows that Messi is the best in the world", Reus said in the press conference prior to the meeting between the two sides.
However, Reus indicated that although him and his teammates are happy to face Barcelona, because they always want to play against the best teams in the world, the key this Tuesday is to be focused on their own performance.
"We don't have to think about Barcelona, but about us. Naturally, we are always happy to play against the best, but the key thing now is that there are three points to play for and we want to win them", he said.
According to Reus, Dortmund hopes it will be a difficult game in which they will have to "know how to suffer in defence and be brave going forward to attack".
Reus also spoke about the performance in Saturday's game, where Dortmund beat Bayer Leverkusen 4-0, and that it is a good base to face Barcelona on Tuesday and what comes next in the season both in the Bundesliga as well as in the Champions League.
"Saturday's game has given us confidence, although we know that this doesn't mean that we are going to be triumphant in Bundesliga and in the Champions League."
