Everton let Haaland slip for 70 thousand euros

Erling Haaland is already the Premier League's biggest signing of the 2022/23 season. This is because Manchester City have already secured his signature before the end of the current campaign.

It will be the Norwegian's first appearance in England's top division, but he could have been playing there a lot sooner than people may think. More specifically, he could have arrived at Everton in 2016, but the now struggling Merseyside club rejected him. 

Haaland's potential arrival at the home of the Toffees has been reported by 'The Times'. However, six years on from then, one of Europe's best strikers will be lining up along side the likes of Kevin de Bruyne come August.

The blue half of Liverpool could have signed Haaland for just 70 thousand euros (60 thousand pounds), but in the end, they decided not to risk their money on him.
