The departure of Carlo Ancelotti to Real Madrid has left an important hole in Everton's dugout, as they had put their faith in the Italian to lead the club's long-term project.
Those at Goodison Park are looking at a number of names to succeed Ancelotti, and in the last few days one of La Liga's most esteemed coaches has been rumoured to be on his way to Merseyside.
As pointed out by 'Daily Mail', the sporting directors at the Toffees are considering Manuel Pellegrini to replace Carlo Ancelotti for the start of the season.
The Chilean has had another fantastic season in charge of Real Betis, who he qualified for the Europa League. In addition, he knows the Premier League well thanks to previous spells at West Ham and Man City.
That being said, Betis have faith that he will stay at the club, although Everton will go all out to try and secure his services.
