Rumours over a European Super League are continuing. Details of the tournament which would turn European football upside down are slowly being revealed.
According to journalist Joaquin Maroto on 'SER Catalunya', the Super League would be without the five substitutions rule and there would be no VAR.
Video technology will not be present. It has been a regular in football since the 2018 World Cup and it is here to stay. However, there will be no VAR if this tournament goes ahead.
COVID-19 meant IFAB and FIFA have allowed clubs to make five subs instead of three. The packed fixture schedule led to clubs asking for five changes to protect the players. However, there would only be three in this competition.
