The European Club Association (ECA) has been pivotal in the upcoming revamping of the Europa League, set to take place from 2021 onwards.
The changes include expanding Europe's secondary competition to more teams, with each side getting more games.
However, the ECA doesn't want to stop with Europa, it wants the Champions League to become bigger too.
Their wishes follow UEFA's announcement of the increasing prize money for next season, in which the Champions League will have a financial pot of £1.75billion.
Their aim to similarly expand the competition could become the catalyst for the development of a European League.
ECA's statement read: "The model that emerges for the UEFA club competitions post-2024 should aim to strengthen the value of the competitions, while increasing the overall number of participating clubs and a greater certainty of matches for all".
