One of the best strikers of this century has decided that he's had enough. Samuel Eto'o hangs up his boots at the age of 38.
The Cameroon player said goodbye to football after two decades in which one thing has always remained constant: winning titles.
Eto'o has been a born winner throughout his career and this can be seen by his extensive record.
At a national level, he gained three Spanish Leagues, achieved with Barcelona and conquered Serie A with Inter.
To this he adds two Copa del Rey's (one of them with Mallorca) and two other Coppa Italia, in addition to the Super Cup of Spain and Italy.
But without a doubt, the best thing about Eto'o's medal winners is his collection of international trophies.
The former-striker managed to win four Champions League titles and win the competition with three different teams (Madrid, Baraca and Inter).
What's more, Samuel managed to lift the extinct Intercontinental Cup (1998) and also the Club World Cup (2010). At international team level, he also won two Africa Cups with Cameroon and a gold medal at the Sydney Olympics.
