We are coming towards the back end of the campaign and there are those who are asking about Messi's future. Remember the Argentine said at the end of 2020 that he was not going to say anything until the end of the season.
Messi, who recently won the Copa del Rey, is fighting for the double. There are just four matchdays left in La Liga and Barca are still in with a chance despite not having it in their own hands.
Sebastian Vignolo, presenter of 'ESPN's 'Futbol 90' programme, revealed huge news on Monday night about Messi's future. "Messi is going to stay at Barcelona for another two years," he said.
The journalist reports that the club and player agree so it is just a matter of time before his contract is extended.
But that is not all. Vignolo also says that the Catalans are trying to get back Neymar, with the aim of bringing back the number 10.
It is worth remembering that the Brazilian said a few days back that his new contract at PSG was "practically done" so it seems unlikely he will return.
How can both things be true? Vignolo says he will reveal more in the next programme about how Barca will get the money to do it.
