Undoubtedly, Christian Eriksen is a life model for more than one. Almost two years after his cardiac arrest, the Dane confessed that, once he regained consciousness, he saw what had happened to him in that opening match of Euro 2020, but played in 2021.
"It was almost the day after. I just wanted to see what had happened and get over all the emotions and get ready for later," the Manchester United player told 'The Telegraph'.
At the same time, Eriksen recognises that "I've learned that what you really have to do is enjoy yourself while you're here and also whatever comes along, like playing football. If I wasn't enjoying myself, I'd do something else.
Finally, the Dane was grateful for his time at Brentford, the club that gave him the opportunity to play football again, and spoke about his move to Manchester United. "I told them at the beginning that if something more exciting came along that would take me to a higher level I would take it, and fortunately United came along," he concluded.
