The speculation that tied Christian Eriksen to Barca began a little over a month ago, but the 26-year-old assured supporters that he is only concerned with next season, and that he will most definitely still be with Tottenham.
Speaking about the future, the midfielder said: ''I think we can look at ourselves and pat ourselves on the back saying that we have done well, now, we must start thinking about facing next season with the same strength.''
''We have shown that we are very consistent, that we are a strong team, I am very happy with how everything went. We are still in the top four in the Premier League, and we have been consistent in our form.''
His comments suggest that his future remains at Spurs, although given that the interview was conducted by the club it is unlikely that he would've addressed the speculation.
Once the World Cup comes to pass, the intensity of Barcelona's interest in the midfielder will become clearer.
