Eder: Ronaldo told me I would score the winner

Portugal's Euro 2016 final hero Eder claims Cristiano Ronaldo told him he would score the winning goal at the Stade de France.
A thundering out-of-the-blue shot by substitute Eder gave Portugal a shock 1-0 win over France in the European Championship final, delivering the country's first international title.
With 109 minutes gone, the Lille player beat off a Laurent Koscielny challenge to fire a shot from outside the penalty area that French captain and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris could not even get a hand to.
Ronaldo was stretchered off in tears in the first half and limped on crying with joy again after his side delivered the final knockout blow in the month-long tournament of upsets.
The Portugal captain was seen on the sideline trying to motivate his team, and Eder has mow revealed it was the Real Madrid star who gave him belief that his moment to shine had arrived.
"Ronaldo told me that I would score the winning goal," the 28-year-old said, as quoted by A Bola. "He gave me that confidence.
"But it was a goal that the whole team worked hard for. We were spectacular during the whole run.
"It's great to be congratulated. I knew that my chance would come from the moment I was called up. Fernando Santos knew of my qualities. He trusted me."
