Dybala wins Serie A 'MVP'
The Serie A has finished for the 19-20 season with the end of season awards. Juventus stand out, with the best goalkeeper and the best player, but among the chosen ones there is no Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese, the second top goalscorer in the league, missed out on the award winners after being named 'MVP' in his first season in Italy.
That honour went to his teammate Paulo Dybala, who ended the 2019-20 season with 11 goals and 7 assists, as well as winning the Serie A.
The best goalkeeper of the competition was Wojciech Szczesny. The Juve keeper let in 33 goals in 29 matches and led Juventus to the title.
Although he has not yet played for Juventus, the 'Bianconeri' side can be pleased to see Dejan Kulusevski, whom they loaned out to Parma, as the best young player of the competition.
The Golden Boot winner with 36 goals in Serie A, Ciro Immobile, has become the best forward in Serie A, becoming the only Lazio winner to achieve this award.
The best defender fell to Stefan de Vrij in his second season at Inter Milan. The Dutchman scored four goals and got four assists in addition to his defensive skills.
Lastly, the best midfielder in the 19-20 Serie A season is Papu Gómez. The Atalanta player continues to make strides at the Bergamo outfit, which came close to finishing runner-up.
