According to 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', Juventus and Inter Milan have opened negotiations over a potential swap deal that would see Dybala move to Milan and Icardi to Turin, and are aiming for the transfer to be completed before the end of this month.
The Italian Press have reported that Juventus want to get rid of Dybala as well as Inter wanting to move Icardi, whose future has been put in serious doubt after the arrival of Antonio Conte - a man who reportedly does not want Icardi in his side.
Juventus are not quite so desperate to get rid of their Argentine, although he has had a sub-par season and their need to sign an out-and-out striker may favour his exit from Turin. Cristiano needs a lethal strike partner and Icardi seems to fit this bill.
Dybala tends to play deeper, operating in a more creative role that could be better suited to Inter's team rather than Juventus. Milan are hoping to add his quality with a new era starting under Conte.
The perennial Italian champions may need to be wary of the continuous off-field problems caused by Icardi and his wife (and agent), which have been cited as one of the main reasons for the deteriorating relationship between Inter Milan and their captain.
