Despite being characterised during his career as a controversial player, Dugarry has if anything become even more sharp-tongued and critical since taking to the commentary box.
France condemned Germany to their sixth loss of the year - something that has never been seen before in the history of Germany football - and Dugarry was in no mood to be sympathetic.
"Quite simply, they don't run. Look at Boateng and it looks as if his legs are made of wood, Hummels as well," he said to 'Radio Monte Carlo'.
He went on to target Thomas Müller, who he claims has suffered a loss of form: "How can he continue to play with the national team? It's now been four or five years since he played well. More than not being good, he has been terrible.
"These players have an enormous media power that allows them to still be regular starters for FC Bayern and the German national team – even though they no longer have the necessary level for it.
“It’s a German problem that occurs frequently. Certain players enjoy an untouchable status, which they have built up through public sympathy, but which no longer corresponds to their performance."
