Is the Super League project already starting to fall apart? Despite the certainty with which Florentino Pérez addressed all the issues related to the new competition when he spoke this Monday, 'The Times' have revealed that there is an English team that are deciding whether or not they will continue with the project.
According to the newspaper, one the 'big six' teams have been keeping an eye on the reaction of its fanbase to the announcement and, for this reason, might be thinking about leaving the European Super League.
Baring in mind that Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, Man United, Chelsea and Man City are the teams that have agreed to join the new tournament and it is reported that one of the last two sides are thinking about leaving the project early doors.
Aleksander Ceferin, president of UEFA, asked the clubs to reflect and predicted that the European football family would forgive those of the 12 teams who do a U-turn and pull out of the ESL.
If one of the 12 'founding clubs' does go back on their decision, we would have to see how the bulk of the clubs handle the decision and if the club would simply be replaced for another one, or whether it would lead to more teams leaving the Super League.
