Fabrizio Romano reported on Wednesday that Erling Haaland's future will be decided in 2022.
According to 'Bild', Borussia Dortmund, knows how difficult it is that Haaland stays at Signal Iduna Park and is ready to offer the Norwegian star a new tempting contract. The media outlet explains that he would go from an 8 million euros salary to a 15 million euros salary.
Dortmund's idea is to convince Haaland to stay for one more year. The board knows it is useless to try to offer him a long-term contract as he is already one of the best players in the world, so their plan is to offer one season at a time.
In addition to Haaland's will to play in a stronger domestic league, Dortmund would also have to meet Raiola's demands.
The Italian agent knows that a transfer would be beneficial for him, as he would get paid lots in commission, as well as providing Haaland with a new challenge and better pay.
Dortmund's plan relies on Puma, as the brand is looking to close a sponsorship deal with Haaland and is one of Dortmund's sponsors. Haaland's contract with Nike finishes in January and Puma is ready to try to land the forward. Puma's goal is to maintain Dortmund's sponsorship and sign Haaland.
It's been reported by numerous outlets that Dortmund was going to let Haaland leave for 75 million euros in summer 2022, but that verbal agrenment won't be honoured. Dortmund wants to keep Haaland but they wont say 'no' to a great deal, like with the sales of Dembele and Jadon Sancho.
