Left back is one of the positions that Real Madrid are desperate to increase their strength in depth in for next season. Marcelo has been far from the levels of his previous seasons at Madrid, and Regulion has not convinced Zidane.
Reguilon, who was a starter under Solari ahead of Marcelo, could go on loan in the summer, but the intentions of the young left back are to stay and use pre season to convince Zidane that he is the right man to start.
If Reguilon is loaned out, the easiest way to replace him would be to bring Hakimi back in, after his successful loan at Borussia Dortmund, but it now seems that the German club want to keep the Morrocan.
Hakimi was due to be on loan for two seasons at Dortmund, with the German club keen on keeping him till at least the summer of 2020, when he is due to return.
