The Dane trained with the rest of his teammates normally, but when he returned to the dressing room, he saw that his watch worth 70,000 euros had been stolen from the sports complez. A situation which drove Kasper Dolberg crazy and he asked the club to not play the match versus Dijon.
However, Jean-Pierre Riere, the Nice president, not only declined the ex-Ajax man's proposal, but also warned that no investigation would be opened. The club's response meant the Dane was forced to report it to the police.
According to 'L'Equipe', Diaby-Fadiga was who took the expensive watch and Nice have decided to opened disciplinary proceedings against him which could even lead to him being dismissed. The French paper says the French club will wait to hear his version of events before making a decision.
Diaby-Fadiga is an 18 year-old striker who plays for the reserves, but has now played six matches in Ligue 1. Furthermore, he has been an under 16, under 17 and under 18 international with France. He is considered to be one of the Nice academy's most talented players.
