England made a spirited comeback to beat Croatia 2-1 and progress to the semi-finals of the inaugural UEFA Nations League, leaving Gareth Southgate a happy man.
Former 'Three Lions' international Lee Dixon has noticed the team's football is benefiting from the atmosphere and mentality that Southgate has created in the side.
Speaking on 'ITV', Dixon remarked: "The biggest thing he's done is he's almost created a club atmosphere in the international team. That includes the fans, that includes the staff, it includes the players. The players almost feel like they're playing for a top Premier League club in that respect.
"They're all together, they've got a common goal, they know how they're going to play. They've got a new system, they all fall into place and they've got players pushing them from behind. There's a pathway for youngsters to come through.
"At the moment the team is just absolutely flying, their first half performance today was exceptional."
