Diop saw first red card of the 2020-21 La Liga season

In an average match versus Celta Vigo, Eibar were reduced to 10 men when Pape Diop saw the first red card of the 2020-21 season. 

It came in the 86th minute when the Eibar midfielder made a challenge on Santi Mina. He was given his second yellow card and sent off. 

He had only picked up his first card five minutes before that after a tactical foul to break down a Celta Vigo counterattack. Recio, making his debut, protested the decision and had a coming together with Okay Yokuslu. 

In the 85th minute, Santi Mina came on and just seconds later, he was fouled by Diop. The Celta man was kicked by his opponent who had to leave the game early.
