Messi is now part of footballing history. The Barcelona player went past Pele for the most number of goals at a single club after scoring versus Valladolid.
Budweiser decided to give goalkeepers Messi had beaten bottles of beer. One bottle for every goal they had conceded against him. Oblak and Buffon had already got their bottles and Diego Alves now has his.
The Flamengo goalkeeper, Messi's favourite victim (21 goals), uploaded to Instagram an image which showed one of the small bottles. The goalkeeper appreciated the gesture: "Thanks Messi for reaching 644 goals. I won 21 bottles, it seems like I've got my own record."
His teammate Filipe Luis saw the post and did not hesitate in teasing him: "Two more years in Spain and you could open a bar."
