Diaz to take No. 7 for Liverpool next season

Luis Diaz will take the No. 7 shirt for the 2023/24 season and wear the English club's iconic number, Liverpool announced on Monday.

"The Colombia forward will switch from the No.23 shirt he has worn since arriving from FC Porto in January 2022 prior to the start of the new campaign," they wrote on their website.

James Milner, who will join Brighton & Hove Albion when his contract expires at the end of June, was wearing No. 7 but has now moved on to another player.

Several Liverpool stars such as Luis Suarez, Billy Liddell, Kevin Keegan, Kenny Dalglish, Peter Beardsley, Nigel Clough, among others, also wore the iconic number seven.
