Completing his contract at PSG, Di Maria is now in search of a new home. Two teams have appeared as favourites to sign the Argentine. These being, Juventus and Barcelona.
Of the two options, Di Maria prefers Barcelona. However, 'Los Azulgranas' are unable to make a bid for him due to their challenging economic situation. If he wants to be a 'Cule', he will have to take the risk and wait.
Juventus have already made him an offer and, according to 'Goal Italia', the player has asked for even more time to consider it. 'Tuttosport' has added to this that the club from Turin believe Di Maria has not yet given them the go ahead because he is waiting on Barcelona to make a move.
'Sport' reports that, despite it being difficult, Di Maria's name is still on Barca's agenda. It is known that other names like Robert Lewandowski and Joules Kounde are higher up on their wanted list, but the Argentine is a low cost option which 'Los Azulgranas' could well consider after completing the deals on their other transfer targets.
They are starting to lose patience in Turin as in some ways, they feel second best. At this moment in time, Di Maria is on holiday and for now, he has asked Juventus for more time to make his mind up. The Argentine is treading on thin ice as he may end up losing the option of continuing his career playing at the highest level if Juve get fed up with him and Barcelona forget about him.
