One of France's key players is Griezmann. The 'Little Prince' was key in France's Wolrd Cup win in Russia and is the apple to Deschamp's eye.
That's why the French manager, in the press conference to announce his players for October's matches, did not hesitate in defending his player just when people were starting to criticise him for not being a star player at Barca.
"It's never easy to change teams, even for Griezmann. Atlético was organized around him. Leaving wasn't easy. Maybe he needed to get out of there. Now he comes to a team with certain habits, which you don't adapt to overnight. The same thing happened to him when he arrived from Real to Atleti. It was complicated at first", Deschamps started saying.
But things don't end there. The manager questioned the positon that Barca play him: left-wing, somewhere where he has little experience of playing.
"In spite of everything, he managed to be an important player for the club. He signed for a team that makes him play in the position they make him play. I'm not saying anything... but with France I make him play somewhere else".
