A curious move will take place in La Liga. Denis Suarez has left his club to sign for a second one until 30th June, after which it looks like he will belong to a third one.
The midfielder, who was sidelined by Celta due to non-sporting issues, has committed himself to Espanyol, where he has landed on loan after reaching an agreement with the Galician club. He will play with the 'Pericos' for the rest of the season, until June 30th, as reported by both clubs.
Then, his short spell at the Catalan club will come to an end, it seems, regardless of his performance for Espanyol. Villarreal will acquire his services as a free agent as of 1st July.
The player thus puts an end to his time in Vigo, the city where he was born, both in life and sporting terms. He left the Celta youth academy to join Manchester City, from where he returned to Spain to join the Barcelona youth team. He went on to Sevilla and Villarreal before making a name for himself, albeit a small one, with Barca's first team.
He tried his luck with little involvement at Arsenal before returning home. He arrived at Celta in 2019-20 and leaves with 105 games under his belt and five goals, as well as 20 assists to his name. This season, he had not played a single minute.
