Barcelona have confirmed that the Frenchman suffered a left thigh injury. A new setback for the Catalan team and for Ousmane Dembele himself.

Another injury for Ousmane Dembele, who underwent medical tests on Thursday, has suffered a muscular thigh injury to his left leg.

Dembele's impact in the clash against Lyon was in doubt, but he finally got his name on the scoresheet. He entered the field of play in the second half, after scoring the fifth and definitive goal, he went down injured.

Despite the injury, Dembele had to continue to battle on until the end, since Valverde had already made his three substitutions.

Barcelona's medical staff have said that the French striker will be able to return to action after three to four weeks.

"Ousmane Dembele has a muscular tear in his left thigh muscle. The estimed time of recovery is between three to four weeks", Barcelona confirmed.
