Dembele a doubt to face Betis
Barca boss Ernesto Valverde suffered a double blow, with Philippe Coutinho also ruled out for two to three weeks as Dembele also sat out training.
The Catalans announced via social media that the World Cup winner had been forced to miss the session and whilst there is believed to optimism that the issue won't keep him out too long, it is expected to be incredibly difficult for him to be fit in time to face Quique Setien's side.
There was some good news, though, as Lionel Messi and Samuel Umtiti both joined in with the group in a recovery session for those who started against Inter Milan on Tuesday night.
With Dembele and Coutinho both expected to miss Sunday's game and Messi still to be given the all-clear by club doctors, Malcom could finally be given a chance to shine in LaLiga when the Andalusians come to town.
