De Zerbi aims to make Mason Greenwood a Marseille legend

Having joined Marseille from Manchester United, Greenwood has quickly found his form, scoring 17 goals so far in his debut season. Manager Roberto De Zerbi has praised the forward's natural talent and credited his parents for helping shape the player he is today.
However, he also recognises the need for further development, both mentally and physically. "Greenwood has immense potential," he stated. "His talent is undeniable, and I believe he has the qualities to be remembered as one of Marseille's greatest.
"I'm here to guide him and help him grow, whether that means offering support when he needs it or pushing him to do more when required. My job is to help him become a complete player."
De Zerbi expressed his desire for the 23-year-old to be remembered by the passionate Marseille supporters as one of the club's legends, comparing him to the iconic players who have graced the Stade Velodrome in the past.
"There have been many greats here, but Mason has the qualities to join their ranks, and I'm doing everything I can to help him achieve that," he added.
The Italian manager also spoke fondly of the player's character, saying: "He's a good person, and I really care for him, just as I do for his father. He's been through some challenges recently, especially with the birth of his daughter, and it's been a learning curve for him to adjust to such an intense season while taking on a key role in the team."
