De Laurentiis will not sack Ancelotti due to high redundancy payment

Carlo Ancelotti can breath easy... at least for the time being. According to 'TuttoSport', the Napoli president, Aurelio de Laurentiis, is not considering firing him because of the large payment he would have to make him as a result of his terminating his contract early.

The president considers Carlo Ancelotti to be one of those responsible for the infighting in the squad after the clash with RB Salzburg. Initially, he thought of sacking him, but he knows it would be quite difficult.

The stumbling block is the large redundancy payment De Laurentiis would have to give the ex-Real Madrid coach. It is apparently too high even though the cited media outlet has not specified how much it could actually be.

That said, it cannot be ruled out that the coach himself decides to walk away since the situation is quite tense and Ancelotti could resign.

In fact, 'Il Mattino' states that Ancelotti's trust in some members of the coaching staff who the Napoli players do not like is causing the problem. In fact, the trouble in the dressing room could be beyond repair
