Kevin de Bruyne, the Manchester City footballer, said that thanks to the confinement caused by the coronavirus outbreak, he has made the decision to extend his career.
The Belgian confirmed it on social media. "I've told my wife that I'm going to play a bit more," the footballer explained.
"After this confinement, I cannot stay more time at home. I've said to her I'm going to be playing for another two years. It's time to play football, I miss it and it's difficult, but now it's not the most important thing, football is not the most important thing. People have to be safe," he added.
De Bruyne, one of the best players in the Premier League, explained that he has been in lockdown for two weeks and that at the beginning, his family and children were a bit ill, which is what worried them, but now they are good.
"It was eight or nine days, but now we are better fortunately, because you never know what is going to happen," the Belgian concluded.
