De Bruyne opened the scoring in the 2nd minute!

Kevin De Bruyne got City off to the perfect start against Brighton. Pep Guardiola's men are playing very well this season and the quickfire goal is a sign of that.

Man City were devastating in attack right from the off. The visitors could not defend the first attack of the game. De Bruyne scored the goal after being played in by David Silva.

The Spaniard received the ball on the left wing and found a space. He prepared himself perfectly to put a low lateral pass to his teammate, who made no mistake in front of goal. The goalkeeper did not arrive in time to prevent the shot from going in.

That affected the whole game. Brighton are in the bottom half of the table and were not expecting to get anything at the Etihad, but they wanted to make it difficult for their opponents.

That plan was ruined almost straight away. Silva beat the defence before passing to De Bruyne to hit home and give City an early lead.
