It meant he had time to give some interviews, including the one with 'ESPN'. In it, Villa revealed the club he hoped to win the Champions League this year.
He confessed: "I hope Barcelona win the Champions League, my other teams are no longer competing. Atletico were eliminated and Valencia did not qualify".
If Villa's pick does come true, Barca would secure their sixth European Cup surpassing Bayern Munich and Liverpool in the overall rankings.
