Darwin Nuñez is set to be one of the most sought-after players of the coming summer. Two Spanish clubs are said to be very interested in acquiring his services, Atletico and Valencia.
He left Peñarol, Almeria, in the Spanish Second Division, paid four million for him, and after scoring 16 goals in 32 games, he was sold to Benfica for 24 million, a bargain that the Lisbon club is now enjoying.
Last season he scored 14 goals, and this season he has already scored six in ten games. Figures that have not gone unnoticed by many clubs, such as Atletico and Valencia, according to 'A Bola'.
Both were last summer looking to bolster their offensive line, and although each did it in their own way, it seems, according to the rumours, that either they were not satisfied or they are thinking long term.
