Daley Blind pulled on the Ajax jersey once again as he made his second debut in a 1-1 draw with Wolves.
The Dutchman came through the club academy as a boy, claiming Eredivisie titles.
He left Manchester United this week in a £18million deal, after becoming surplus at the Premier League side.
Blind joined up with Ajax as the squad trained at St George's Park, and then jumped straight in the deep end with Thursday's friendly against Wolves.
The debutant came on at half-time and stayed on the pitch for the whole second-half.
Donny van de Beek opened the scoring a minute before half-time, before Ruben Neves was able to put Wolves level in the second-half.
Matthijs de Ligt worked alongside Blind in defence, after he missed last Friday's 3-1 defeat against Anderlecht.
Rasmus Kristensen and Tagliafico also returned for Ajax, but Dusan Tadic was still unavailable due to the World Cup break.
Blind could make his second appearance for the side in next week's Champions League tie with Sturm Graz of Austria in the second qualifying round.
Ajax, who finished second place in the Eredivisie last season, will also face Konyaspor and Wolfsburg before their league campaign begins on August 11.
