Divock Origi, Liverpool hero in the 2019 edition of the Champions League, will miss out on this year's final against Real Madrid due to injury. The Belgian scored a brace in Liverpool's 4-0 comeback win against Barcelona in the 2019 semi-finals, as well as scoring their second goal in the final against Tottenham that same year.
His actions in the moments when it has mattered most have given him legendary status amongst Liverpool fans. So much so, that he was given a guard of honour this Sunday following the match against Wolves, as he will soon be leaving the club after his contract expires on 1st July.
However, Origi could not feature in the final game of the Premier League season due to an injury he picked up last Saturday. Said injury has also put him out of contention for the Champions League final this coming Saturday.
"Divock will definitely be out", said Jurgen Klopp. "He's gotten injured five days before the final, there isn't time to recover", notified the German.
