Marc Cucurella and Kalidou Koulibaly combined in Chelsea's match against Tottenham on matchday two of the Premier League. The former Brighton man took a corner straight to the former Napoli man, who volleyed the ball into the back of the net. Hugo Lloris, who had made a great save seconds earlier, was left for dead.

Chelsea's signings combined perfectly in the home game with Tottenham on matchday two of the Premier League season. After a good start by Tottenham, Marc Cucurella and Kalidou Koulibaly showed their presence and made the difference.

The former Brighton man put a corner perfectly towards Koulibaly, who, unmarked, was ready to volley in. That is what he did and Hugo Lloris, who had made a terrific save to deny Hugo Lloris just beforehand, could not do anything on this occasion.

Neither Cucurella nor Koulibaly had registered a goal or assist up until this point and so both got off the mark. A goal which not only put Chelsea ahead, but will also give the duo confidence in the new team as they look to fight for the Premier League title.

The goal was also key given the fact that Tottenham had started the game well. After the goal, the Blues then took charge.
