Crystal Palace come up against Liverpool this Saturday at Selhurst Park, as the Premier League returns after the international break. Liverpool are still holding on to their unbeaten run in the Premier League, therefore this will be a difficult game for out-of-form Crystal Palace, who have lost three out of their last four games.
TEAM NEWS:
Crystal Palace: Palace could be set to go into this game without one of their key players, Wilfred Zaha, who suffers from a foot injury he picked up in the defeat against Chelsea before the international break and may be a doubt for tomorrow's game. Joel Ward also picked up an injury in that match and is said to have a groin strain, but the full extent of his injury is still to be revealed, which leaves Martin Kelly available to fill in for him.
Liverpool: Latest reports suggest that neither Salah nor Robertson will be fit for the trip to London, but will undergo late fitness tests to determine if they are ready. Joe Gomez returned to training after his knee injury and Jordan Henderson is said to be back fit after an illness. There is more good news for the 'Reds', as Shaqiri is said to be fit again, following time out with a calf problem. Joel Matip and Nathaniel Clyne will not be present in the game sue to injuries.
MANAGER'S THOUGHTS:
Hodgson: On whether he thinks Liverpool will win the league: "To be eight points clear is fantastic and they are on a fantastic run". When asked about Mourinho, he also states that he has "an enormous amount of respect for both men (Mourinho and Pochettino). They've replaced a very good manager with another."
On the game tomorrow: "We want to win the game and we are fully prepared and ready for that". He believes that Jurgen Klopp will be playing his strongest team for the match, unless forced to do otherwise due to injury. He says Liverpool are "a very energetic team" who are constantly trying to win the ball back, so he says his team "needs to have composure".
Hodgson finishes off by saying that there has been "no update" on talks over a new contract.
Klopp: He also welcomes back Jose Mourinho and says it is "nice to have him back", also stating that Pochettino "did a brilliant job at Tottenham" and is "a great guy".
On tomorrow's game: Klopp confirms Van Dijk is available to face Crystal Palace and that decisions will be made on Salah and Robertson after the training session. He states that Shaqiri needs to "regain match fitness" as he was out for a long time and he will contemplate resting some players if they are tired from the international break.
