Croatia: Croatia have Sime Vrsaljko, Lovre Kalinic and Marcelo Brozovic available after injury. Youngsters Josip Brekalo and Nikola Vlasic have both been called up as boss Zlatko Dalic looks to refresh the squad following retirements for Mario Mandzukic, Danijel Subasic and Vedran Corluka. Dalic has a dilemma at left-back though, where Josip Pivaric and Ivan Strinic are both injured - so Tin Jedvaj or Matej Mitrovic will have to fill in.
Spain: Spain are without Thiago Alcantara, who is set to miss several weeks with an ankle injury, while Koke, Paco Alcacer and Marcos Alonso are among the big names dropped by Luis Enrique. Jordi Alba has been recalled to the squad for the first time since the World Cup and could come straight into the line-up, while Cesar Azpilicueta and Jonny will battle out for the right-back spot as Nacho and Dani Carvajal are injured.
Croatia manager Zlatko Dalic on his side's chances against La Roja
"I'm focused on the match, we need the victory. I know that many people do not believe that our team is capable of winning both games but I reply -- we will do now as we did in Russia, step by step. First, Spain."
Spain manager Luis Enrique on not getting complacent
"I think this game is totally different to the one we played in Elche. It's key for both, and decisive, because they still have chances to go through. It's the first game that will be everything or nothing. If we win, we qualify, and if not, there will be chances for the others. It's a vital game for us."
