Angel Correa talked to 'Marca' ahead of the game against Man Utd and he made a general analysis of his role in the team and of Atletico Madrid's situation this term.
"We created the expectation and we did not find the results. That hit us hard. Now we are more clear about things and I hope we don't drop points from here until the end," he commented.
Correa explained that they had the objective of "fighting for La Liga", but "inconsistency frustrated us," so now they are thinking about "being as high as possible."
After the win against Osasuna, Atletico Madrid go into the Champions League clash with Man Utd on a high. They are expecting to "have a great game, keep a clean sheet and win."
That said, they will be facing a Cristiano Ronaldo who knows full well how to spoil the party at Atletico Madrid: "We know how Cristiano is because he has hurt us a lot other times we've faced him. You don't have to look at Cristiano, but at all the team."
Correa spoke about making "a great effort" to beat Man Utd, as they want to win the Champions League. "God willing we will win the Champions League for Atletico. It would be the best for me."
